eLearning - CPD Online Programs

NIBA College offers two different systems for online courses.

CPD eLearning

The Business and Administration programs available on CPD eLearning are fully interactive and can be completed at your own pace anywhere you have access to a computer. The programs cover compliance topics and business skills applicable to representatives working in the insurance & risk sector.

Programs contain detailed content and multi-media activities, case studies and examples. Individuals can stop the program at any time and continue later at the place they last left off or go back and revise previous material. Assessment activities are completed online.

NIBA College Product and Technical training programs cover broking and insurance skills and knowledge for those at Tier 2, tier 1 and responsible officer level. There are also regularly updated programs on legal issues relevant to insurance and risk as well as generic product training in retail and wholesale insurance products. Programs vary in length depending on the topic. All are suitable for individual study and some of the most popular are available for group training.

Programs include comprehensive course notes and a set of study exercises to assist your learning. You study at your own pace and complete the online multiple choice test to verify participation and gain CPD points.

FinAssessOnline

NIBA College offers product tests through FinAssessOnline for brokers and other advisers that want to ensure they keep up to date with the current wordings of products in the market. This is a simple way to maintain ASIC product knowledge compliance. The catalogue changes regularly and users receive automatic notification of updates to policy wordings.

CPD eLearning FinAssessOnline
Covers a broad range of topics relating to insurance, brokering, compliance, business and administration as well as Microsoft Office product training. Obtain a catalogue... Covers insurance product information only, obtain a sample list of products.
Each module is different, interactive web lectures, workbooks with multiple choice or short answer assessments and workbooks which require activity questions to be completed and forwarded to NIBA before the multiple choice assessment can be completed Participant downloads a product disclosure state to study and then completes a multiple choice assessment. Courses range between 1 – 8 CPD hours 0.5 CPD hours for each Life Risk product assessment and 1 CPD hour for each General Insurance product assessment
Participant receives a certificate by email on completion Participant can print a report on their assessment once rated competent
Cost vary, package deals are available. Courses purchased as part of a package deal are accessible for 12 months – Individual course purchases are accessible for 3 months. $120 for subscription which includes 16 product knowledge assessments and is valid for 1 year. Additional Product Knowledge Assessment’s can be purchased at $7.50 ea

Individual Enrolment - Enter the website, browse through courses, purchase with credit card, create account, i.e. username & password
Corporate Enrolment - Purchase block of hours, enrolment and learning assigned by NIBA.

Complete a registration form, forward to NIBA and then on to FinAssessOnline. Participant is contacted by FinAssessOnline to establish which products they require and then set up on the system. Participant logs in and chooses product disclosure statements to study from list based on previously agreed product selection

Terms and Conditions

All eLearning course individually purchased must be paid for online and are non refundable.  Each course is accessible for 3 months unless otherwise stated.  Packaged hours are valid for 12 months. All enrolled courses will expire by this date regardless of whether the user has completed the course or not.  Any unused hours are lost.  All courses have a multiple choice assessment which must be completed successfully to be awarded the allocated CPD points.Users have 3 attempts to successfully complete the course.Course transfers will be looked at on a case by case basis. Any attempted courses are non-transferable.

Please note:course material can be accessed as many times as needed.Once the assessment is accessed, you must complete all questions before exiting the system, otherwise you will be marked as a failed attempted.
