NIBA Young Professionals

The NIBA Young Professionals is a unique group that aims to assist the professional development of practitioners in the under 35-year-old group. Participation in your local YPs is an excellent way to network with others in the broking and insurance industry.

Each YP group is run by a committee attached to the State NIBA Divisional Committee. YP committee members come from international & local brokerages and leading market underwriters.

The Young Professionals committees undertake a variety of social and educational activities including:

  • Product and insurance specific seminars;
  • Motivational seminars;
  • Risk management field trips;
  • Breakfast Briefings;
  • Social functions; and
  • Christmas Parties.

Seminars are promoted regularly via email, the NIBA Gazette and through the NIBA College Calendar.

YPs not only seek participation from insurance brokers but also the wider insurance and risk community of underwriters, re-insurers & loss adjusters.
