Codes of Practice TrainingOn January 1 2007 the new Insurance Brokers Code of Practice came into effect. NIBA College is offering courses, created with the input of the writers of the Code, to help you ensure you are meeting your obligations. Course contentNIBA’s training, whether online or in workshop format, has been designed to give you the necessary information to enable you to understand the fundamentals of the two insurance industry Codes of Practice, and apply the relevant Code requirements to your day-to-day activities. All courses will be interactive, and divided into the following sessions Certificates & CPD ratingsNIBA Codes of Practice Workshops are eligible for four CPD points. An additional two CPD points will be awarded if, following the workshop, attendees complete the online assessment. Successful completion of the assessment will result in the achievement of one National Competency standard, and a Statement of Attainment will be awarded.You will need to enrol separately for the online assessment following the workshop. The Codes of Practice Online Course is eligible for six CPD points, issued when both the online course and assessment have been satisfactorily completed. A Statement of Attainment will also be awarded as above.
