Senior Professional Assessment 1 (Life Broking)

This program is suitable for experienced Insurance Brokers dealing in life products.

This assessment is specifically for insurance broking advisers in life insurance and covers the following competency areas:

Tier 1 advisor skills including determining client requirements and expectations, conducting product research, providing appropriate broking advice to clients and recording and implementing client instructions.
Core business knowledge and skills as they apply in the financial services industry including: financial services legislation, industry and professional codes of practice, health and safety practices and the effective use of technology, information collection and presentation, communication and team work skills.
Insurance broker skills at the Tier 1 level including preparing a new business submission for a broking client, monitor clients, implementing changes to the client's insurance program and reviewing ongoing service requirements.
Higher level broking practice skills including managing clients with significant risks at renewal, risk management needs or complex claims, identifying and advising clients on significant risk changes to their insurances, assessing and negotiating a complex risk portfolio for a client at renewal, reviewing client incidence of loss, negotiating complex claims settlements for clients and resolve disputes.
