This course is for general insurance brokers and provides accreditation at the ASIC Tier 1 adviser level.
The main focus of the program is to develop your core broking skills and knowledge which are covered in the first half of a Diploma in Financial Services (Insurance Broking) qualification. Completion of this program will give you credits towards the Diploma.
You will undertake three areas of study:
- Module 1: Essential Background Knowledge for Insurance Brokers
Allows students to acquire the essential background knowledge in insurance markets, products, legal requirements and industry standards for brokers.
- Module 2: Tier 1 Advisor Basics
Relates to the basics of providing advice as a broker plus important supporting skills.
- Module 3: Core Tier 1 Insurance Broking Skills
Teaches students to apply the higher level, core insurance broking advisory skills.
