This short course is designed for qualified general insurance brokers and financial planners who wish to meet obtain their Tier 1 Life Insurance Advisor Accreditation.
You should have a Tier 1 or Tier 2 accreditation in general insurance or a full Diploma qualification in insurance broking or financial planning to enrol in this upgrade.
The course is taught in one module covering:
• The different types of life insurance policies available in the Australian market, why they are purchased and how they differ from one another.
• Life products including: Lump Sum Benefits, Income Benefits, Group Insurance and Business Insurance
• Life Insurance Practice including:
• The process of applying for life insurance cover and the impact underwriting has on this process;
• What happens when an insured makes a claim against a policy and the role of the advisor in that process; and
• How to avoid errors and omissions in the life area.
