Module 2: Ethics and Professional Practice
This module is designed to explore the role of business ethics and regulatory frameworks on ethical behaviour standards for the professional broker. This includes an analysis of current and emerging trends and developments in corporate governance and accountabilities, the regulatory and professional codes of conduct that defi ne the ethical framework for the professional broker and what this means in practice. The aim of the module is to help practitioners to understand the moral and ethical problems that can arise in the broking setting, the special duties and obligations that apply to brokers and the practical application of these standards to broking business relationships including the consequences of violations of the various values and standards. As such, this module covers fundamental areas that underpin the other modules.
