Course Content
All candidates must complete two major units of study from the list below:
- NC701 Business Management in Insurance and Risk Organisations;
- NC702 Risk Management for Insurance Brokers;
- NC703 Management of Operational Risks;
- NC704 Broking Facilities and Schemes Management.
Two modules will be available for enrolment from 2009 with the remaining two modules offered from 2010 (NC703 and NC704):
- NC701 Business Management in Insurance and Risk Organisations; and
- NC702 Risk Management.
Selection of these is based on the following:
- Students who have not completed Business Management in their previous qualifi cation are required to select NC701 Business Management in Insurance and Risk Organisations as a major unit. Students who have already completed a relevant course in business management may select any combination of major units.
- Candidates who have undertaken prior studies in NIBA College’s Broker Management Short Course or Senior Risk Management Program may apply for exemptions from various topics within major units of study NC701 and NC702 respectively.
- Most candidates will have undertaken the unit Apply principles of professional practice to work in the fi nancial services industry FNSICIND401A through previous Diploma or Certifi cate IV studies with NIBA College or another provider. Candidates who have not completed this previously will need to complete this subject within the Graduate Diploma at an additional cost of $125.
