If you are looking to become qualified in Broker Management the Advanced Diploma is the right level for you.

ASIC RM Requirements

Responsible manager qualifications are higher than those for retail advisers.

Managers must complete the relevant industry qualification for their sector - at a minimum full Diploma in Financial Services level. In some cases, such as in life or financial planning, the competencies set by the industry at the management level are at the Advanced Diploma level.

Advanced Diploma of Financial Services

Candidates with a minimum of 5 out of the last 8 years experience seeking recognition in a Management or specialist role should undertake a Senior Professional Assessment in their chosen specialist area

Graduate Diploma of Financial Services

The Graduate Diploma of Financial Services enables you to specialise in management and technical areas relevant to your career. In addition, the focus on management skills will satisfy ASIC compliance requirements for responsible managers.

Insurance candidates should complete the two major units of study below:

  • Business Management in Insurance and Risk Organisations
  • Management of Operational Risks

Senior Brokers looking ot maintain their Continuing Professional Development should consider the Industry Leadership activities such as Mentoring and Research activities.

Enrolment

You can enrol in your course at any time - your enrolment is valid for 12 months and you are required to complete all the assessment requirements within this time.
Once you have decided on the program you wish to undertake, complete the enrolment form online or download the manual form and send it to NIBA College. If you have any questions regarding your enrolment or which course or assessment is right for you, please contact us on qualifications@nibacollege.com.au.
Once you are enrolled you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to your program learning materials and other important information. If you do not receive either of these emails it is important that you contact us as soon as possible.

Before enrolling in any course or assessment there are a few things to think about:
  • Your eligibility to enrol in a particular program - see the course description for pre-requisites. 
  • Courses are very practical and work related and you will need to nominate a workplace supervisor. 
  • Read the terms of study. You will be bound by these rules so make sure you understand them. If you would like to talk to someone about the terms of study prior to enrolment just give us a call.
  • You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning. You may need to provide a certified copy of your Statement of Attainment or equivalent documentation on enrolment.
