Is this level right for you?

If you are straight out of school or have not worked in an office before then the full Certificate III course will give you the background you need to work effectively within a general insurance organisation.

If you move into broking at a later time you can use the modules completed in this program as credit towards a higher level qualification.

ASIC Tier 2 Requirements

This course provides candidates with the option to complete Tier 2 general insurance advice skills.

Certificate III in Financial Services

This qualification is designed for entry level employees working y who perform duties such as:

• responding to customer enquiries
• client sales and service
• maintaining financial records
• clerical duties
• applying fundamental skills insurance.

Traineeships

State and Federal traineeships provide financial incentives to employers to assist new entrants in gaining employment experience and qualifications. Traineeships are available for full qualifications in Certificate II and Certificate III.

What's Next?

The next step on the broking pathway is the Certificate III in Broking - you will receive an exemption from Block 1 of the Certificate III course and be able to get straight into Tier 2 Broking.

Students looking to maintain their CPD requirements have access to NIBA College CPD elearning courses. Broker specific technical courses are available as well as courses in adminstration skills, personal productivity and much, much more!

Enrolment

You can enrol in Certificate II courses at any time - Before you enrol make sure you:

Check if you are You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning exemptions due to prior study. If so, you will need to provide a certified copy of your Statement of Attainment or equivalent documentation on enrolment.

Once you have decided on the program you wish to undertake, complete the enrolment form online or download the manual form and send it to NIBA College. Once you are enrolled you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to your program learning materials and other important information. If you do not receive either of these emails it is important that you contact us as soon as possible.

Course Delivery

All NIBA College Certificate II and III courses are offered in distance study format. Once your enrolment has been confirmed you can access a comprehensive set of learning notes, presentations, study guides and assessment exercises online.

Traineeship students are required to set aside a number of hours during worktime each week to complete their studies. These students will also be provided with a detailed timeline as to when each assessment activity is due.
