Client Claims Service - 3 points
This module will provide you with the knowledge and skills to process client claims in a broking office. At the completion of this module, you should be able to complete all steps of the claims processing service, including registering claims and completing the necessary documentation, advise insurers and negotiate settlement and advise the client of their rights and obligations. (Program Code: CPDT2001)
 
Collect, Analyse and Use Information - 2 points
This module will provide you with the knowledge and skills to collect, analyse and use information to write a report. At the completion of this module, you should be able to collect, analyse and use information in work-related activities. (Program Code: CPDT2002)

Consumer Credit Insurance - 2 points
This module aims to provide you with sufficient technical knowledge of consumer credit insurance to enable you to apply legal requirements and match insurance cover to the needs and capacities of clients. At the completion of this module, you should be able to identify insurances for which standard cover has been legally regulated, describe the cover provided by consumer credit insurance in terms of the standard cover provided by a policy under the law, as well as events for which cover applies and the exclusions that apply. You will learn to describe the market sectors that the product has been developed for, determine the product selling features and compare the products provided by different insurers. (Program Code: CPDT2003)

Contract Works Insurance – An Introduction - 1 point
This module aims to provide you with a basic introduction to contract works insurance. The module includes an outline of the cover provided by contract works insurance, annual & individual policies and insurance-related issues that may arise during policy negotiations. (Program Code: CPDT2004)

Customer Service 1 - 3 points
This module aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to respond appropriately to customer enquiries in  broking environment. You will learn to identify the nature and type of an equiry, research relevant information, determine suitable responses and provide relevant information and advice to customers on a range of issues or enquiries. (Program Code: CPDT2005)

Customer Service 2 - 2 points
This module follows on from Customer Service 1 and aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide on-going customer service and resolve customer complaints. You will be able to offer a range of available services to new or existing clients in accordance with identified client needs and monitor, review and evaluate customer service outcomes. (Program Code: CPDT2006)

Effective Workplace Communication - 2 points
This module examines all forms of communication (listening, speaking, reading, writing and body language) in order to provide you with the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively in the workplace including the preparationa nd interpretation of routine written correspondence, notes, reports and records. (Program Code: CPDT2007)

Home building and contents- 2 points
This module aims to provide you with sufficient technical knowledge of home buildings and contents insurance to enable you to apply legal requirements, and match insurance cover to the needs and capacities of clients. At the completion of this module, you should be able to identify insurances for which standard cover has been legally regulated, describe the cover provided by home buildings and contents insurance in terms of the standard cover provided by a policy under the law, as well as events for which cover applies, and the exclusions that apply. Insurance Markets - 2 points
The module will provide you with the knowledge and skills to understand how economic conditions affect insurance markets, and how this information can help intermediaries, such as insurance agents and brokers, carry out their sales and marketing functions more effectively. You will learn to relate economic conditions to the operation and function of the general insurance market. (Program Code: CPDT2009)

Insurance Products (Agency) - 2 points
This module aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to analyse the scope, terms and conditions of cover for the classes of insurance that you are qualified to sell as a Tier 2 general insurance adviser. At the completion of this module, you should be able to examine a range of general insurance products. (Program Code: CPDT2010)

This module will enable you to identify and apply a range of important interpersonal skills to assist you in your role. (Program Code: CPDT2011)

Motor vehicle insurance - 2 points
This module aims to provide you with sufficient technical knowledge of motor vehicle insurance to enable you to apply legal requirements and match insurance cover to the needs and capacities of clients.At the completion of this module, you should be able to identify insurances for which standard cover has been legally regulated, describe the cover provided by motor vehicle insurance in terms of the standard cover provided by a policy under the law, as well as events for which cover applies, and the exclusions that apply. On-going Customer Service (Agency) - 2 points
This module aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide your clients with an on-going customer service that ensures they maintain the right level of insurance throughout the policy period. At the completion of this module, you should be able to prepare relevant client and business documentation and provide on-going customer service. (Program Code: CPDT2014)

Personal and Professional Development  3 points
This module aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to plan and organise your work effectively, and to identify your professional development needs and options. You will learn how identify career opportunities within the financial services sector and understand the role of professional associations and membership requirements for employees within the financial services industry. (Program Code: CPDT2015)

Placing and Confirming Client Insurance - 3 points
This module will provide you with the knowledge and skills to enable you to place client insurances with insurers and confirm insurance cover with clients. At the completion of this module, you should be able to:

  • Obtain confirmation of interim cover
  • Confirm insurance cover with client
  • Complete required documentation
  • Obtain and record documentary evidence of insurance cover
  • Collect and remit premiums to insurers

Travel insurance - 2 points
This module aims to provide you with sufficient technical knowledge of travel insurance to enable you to apply legal requirements and match insurance cover to the needs and capacities of clients. Working in the Financial Services Industry - 3 points
 This module will provide you with an introduction to the internal and external factors that affect any business organisation. It will then cover the guidelines, procedures, and legislation and compliance within the Financial Services Industry; and working with company and industry standards.  (Program Code: CPDT2021)

Workplace Health and Safety - 3 points
This module aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to enable you to work safely within a financial services context and environment. At the completion of this module, you should be able to follow workplace procedures for hazard identification and risk control, contribute to participative arrangements for the management of health and safety and employ safe working practices. (Program Code: CPDT2022)

Codes of Practice - 6 points
This course provides you with information concerning the two insurance industry Codes of Practice, namely the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice and the General Insurance Code of Practice.
